Tohatsu 18 gear shift system

Can anyone tell me where i can purchase a gear and trottle shifter for a 18hp 2 stroke Tohatsu outboard
I am thinking of a universial type
one i can get at a good price.

Any morse-type throttle/shift control will work. If you spring for the Factory unit, you will be assured that the shift is not reversed. Some aftermarket units can be configured for either "pull forward" or "push forward". If you do not have a Remote motor, you will also need an SRC kit.
 
If your motor is already setup as a Remote control motor, all you need is the controls and cables. If it is a Tiller motor, you need the kit to attach the cables at the motor end. What is the precise model/serial of your motor?
 
the model number of the engine is M18E2
its a tiller motor
so i will need the kit to attach the cables at the motor end
