I have a Wizard 3.5hp Model # COC6503A86 Serial # 1363

Can't get plug to fire. Can you still get points for this motor? Carb parts? Others? How old is this motor?

The compression seems very good.

Any help would be great...

" Parts and owners manual is a

" Parts and owners manual is available from www.oldmercs.com They hav a good supply of parts for older Mercurys, the company that made Wizzard. Points can be disassembled cleaned polished and re assembled. while apart use 300 to 400 grit wet and dry silicon carbide paper from auto parts stores to polish points. The least ammount of oil or oxide on points and they will not fire. The coil should be tested too. Any cracks in the coil and it will leak to ground and not fire. Bob Grubb at Old Mercs can test coils. Art "
