i got a bravo 3 outdrive on a 28 foot true marine with a yanmar 6cyl. i have replace gimbal ring and bearing and has new u-joints but im still getting bad vibrations and shaking between 650 and 1000rpms. almost feels like a slipping cluth but i think that that would be constant and not go away after 1000rpms. any ideas??? im thinking a bearing or clutch or maybe even engine/driveshaft coupler.. someone help please!!

If it vibrates all the time (in gear or neutral) at that speed, it is deffinately between the engine and upper part of the drive, somewhere. If it only vibrates in gear and not neutral, pull the prop off and run it. That'll tell you if it's the drive or prop. Plus you'll be able to see if the output shaft may be bent. You can verify that one with a dial indicator on the shaft and spinning the shaft by hand.
