Hello everyone, I have a 99 50 hp nissan that runs good when the water is flat. Once the water becomes choppy the engine starts cuting out! It wont die just acts like something is blocking the fuel supply. This only happens when its choppy water. Im thinking something is loose? Anybody had a similiar issue? Or any ideas

Thanks Erick

I would completely inspect the fuel and ignition systems. Check to make sure the float height is correct (that the carb isn't washing out), and that the stop lanyard and switch don't have any problems.

Had the same problem on my M50D2 97-98 year fitted to a Zapcat never found any thing in the carbs but found one of the clear bullet conectors on the top coil had corroded.
cleaned it lubed all similer conectors. It cured the problem for a couple of years, it did it a couple of times last time i used the boat. I intend to check the conectors again.
