Evinrude Piston Rings

I am puttting new rings on a 15hp 1977 Evinrude. I see there are 2 different rings. one is shiney and the other is dark almost black. I have not seen this in smaller motors and do not know which ring is the upper and which is the lower. My service manual does not say anything about this. Can you help?
 
I will get to the shop and check, I did not take them out of the package just viewed them through plastic in case I had to return them. If I had pistons out I probably would have seen the difference but I got ahead of myself. Thanks
 
Have a 1986 EJRCDR 1.2hp under repair
Have done carb, waterpump,points.
have low compression , 80 lbs.,
piston not scored, cyl walls good, rings not broken
should I put in std rings or oversized ?

I also have A 1986, JCOCDR. I’m putting in new standard rings. Both rings don’t seem to have an up or down orientation and they seem identical. Did you find this to be true as well? Thx.
