Found the stator has an open between the blue wires. That should take of my no spark situation. but my flywheel magnet is rubbing on my old stator, leaving a coating of the magnet on a few of the winding plates. What do I do? Seems it must have been running when this occured for a long period of time. There is about a 3 inch end of the magnet that is no longer bonded to the flywheel. Will it run if my new stator also touches the soft magnet? Thanks for all the help with the guy that directed me to the sight to figure out the no start. The info was mint!! Thanks guys and gals Rich

Your welcome!!
Take the magnet out and clean the mating surfaces again and again and then one more time.
Use superglue as it's thin and won't take up much room under the magnet.
Did I mention to clean the mating surfaces a lot??
It won't ruin your stator but it's gonna destroy the magnet and they don't sell just the magnet.J
