Delco-Remy starter rebuild kits??

Does anyone know of a supplier for Delco-Remy starter rebuild kits, to include springs, brushes, retainer, snap ring and bushings? Twenty years ago I remeber getting a kit from a local machine shop for short money. They are no longer in business and I can not locate a complete kit online.

These starters are very easy to rebuild so I thought I would refurbish a few I have lying around the barn.

Thanks!

You do not mention which year model.

Just a suggestion here:
If these are the non-gear reduction type motors (Arco shown here).......

... or one of the Bendix Drive motors, I'd not spend any time nor money on them.

Today's little HTGR/PMGR starter motors will outperform any of the non-reduction units.

Amp load is slightly reduced.
Armature speed approx 3 x's greater.
Cranking RPM is increased some.
Solenoid arm pinion gear action (no Bendix Drive as in the early Delco, Prestolite, etc)

Don't let the small size fool you.

Edit after reading Chris' post.
Ditto.... the nose housings are not quite the same, meaning that the bolt length may vary some.
The bolts are usually provided by the better companies, but be sure to ask.

If the OEM bolts are a tad bit too long, they may bottom out before the nose is fully clamped.

If Hell Bent on over-hauling the Delco motor....., NAPA should be able to supply the parts that you need.
