Default is it possible to convert to remote steering on a 1986 mariner 18 hp?

Hello all. This is my first post and I will say thankyou in advance for your help. I have an 18hp mariner that I believe to be an 1986 model. Serial #6618436. It is pull start and I want to convert it from tiller steering to remote. I sold the boat to a buddy and me and a friend just bought back into it for duck hunting, but they never grew up using a tiller motor and cant seem to get used to it. There is a tilt tube already there and I am wondering how difficult this would be. Any insight would be appreciated.

Sure it is possible----look on ------mercruiserpart.com--------for the parts / kits you may need.----------Might be cheaper to find a donor motor that is remote now.
