- Mariner 40hp, 2 cylinder, 40 ELO 6E9 L 450249

I would like to know:

- What year is it?
- What Yamaha model/year does it match (if there is one.)

Well, I still have some questions, so, at the risk of overstaying my welcome, I'll ask them. I have no information on this motor, except that it was in good shape and serviced last year, and I'd like to use it safely for a long time.


Mix
===
I have read in a couple of places (forums such as this one) that the mix should be 50:1. However, I also read in the owners manual for Yamaha 1982 40 hp motors, that the mix should be 100:1. Without the owners manual.... (I have just ordered Seloc for this motor.)

Oil Injection
=========
The reason I ask is that read that I should disable the oil injection and mix manually, as they are prone to failure. Should I do this?
