power trim stuck at very top and won't go down..

Motor is stuck trimmed all the way up and won't go down. It is making the noise but not moving. How do I release it. Please Help...

There should be a manual release screw on the cylinder--turn it slowly to the left.

If the boat is out of the water, remove the fill plug on the trim unit and top off the fluid. Power it up and down a few times and re fill.
