help 90 aetol has lost all power

gday all i have a 90 two stroke yamaha yesterday lost all power, it sounded like a breaker tripping in the motor, i tried all conections were tight , replaced main fuse still nothing, after about three hours power came on when i turned the key but tripped off when i tried to crank the motor , if anyone has any suggestions they would be much appreciated??
 
What year is this engine?well somthing is for shure getting hot,Check all your ground wires and make shure they are clean and tight.Then check all your other wiring to see if any are grounding out somwhere.Check the wiring on your ignition also.Ignition could be bad.
 
Check for corrosion at the battery terminals. The motor just doesn't shorted out by itself. Another quick check is to do this in the dark. Crank the motor and watch the battery terminals for sparks. If you have a dirty connection you will see small sparks there when you crank. Do the same with the cowl open and look at the main power feeds at the motor. GL.
