I want to replace the helm in my 16' runabout.
I have rack and pinion and believe the helm to be original approx 20 years.
the cable has been replaced and the steering tube is free.
It appears the helm is secured to the rack with 4 bolts, (not the most easily accessible)
After removing the wheel and bezel and these 4 bolts, is there any trick to removing
the old helm and replacing with the new one ?
Does it simply slide out ?
