Tohatsu 9.8 4 stroke coil check

I shorted my positve to my boat ground and am trying to get it back running. I checked my coil and there is no conductivity from the orange wire to the spark plug. I checked my Evinrude and there is.... do you think my coil is bad?
 
The coil testing procedure is in the Factory service manual, and it requires a good analog -- not digital -- ohm meter to test.
