Zero Compression??.....Really??

88 Force 125 was idling in a bucket this morning warming up so I could set the idle. After a couple minutes it died. 1/2 hour later I was able to start it again and get it warming up. Same thing happened. Have not been able to get it to start since. Checked compression. 120 110 0 45. Did the test 3 times, exact same results each time. What is the culprit?

I do not have prior compression test results.

Low comp between 2 cylinders(3/4) usually means head gasket.
Do like Chris says and check the head gasket and see if anything went south.

Nice call. The gasket was blown between 3 and 4. I was happy with that until, upon further inspection, I discovered that a couple chunks of the cast cylinder wall, outside the sleeve, are gone. Broken, exploded, whatever. That sucks. I have a lot of new parts into this motor. I am entertaining the thought of a re build with another block. Any suggestions?

If I find a block, is there any reason why I can't use the crank, pistons, rods, etc from my current blown motor, in the new block???
