Switch to ethanol free gas for winter storage?

My 2001 T50 manual says the ob can use E10 gas w/o any problem. During the boating season I use E10 87 grade gas (Regular grade) with either Yamaha gas treatment or with Sta-Bil gas treatment (the marine type Sta-Bil). I have a 24gal fiberglass gas tank with standard fuel hose w/primer bulb.

During the winter (in Georgia on a freshwater lake) the boat will not be used much. The fuel tank will be kept full to reduce condensation water issues.

Would there be any real benefit to filling the fuel tank with ethanol-free 89 octane (the only grade available in the area) and adding Sta-Bil? The only item I can think of that could be a problem with E10 is that the black fuel line might be harmed by E10.

If i was going to store it,I would run it out of gas and drain my fuel line from tank to engine. If there is no gas then no problem.

Good suggestion. Stabil oil in gas or any kind of gas is still gas and the octane will vaporize and leave what god knows behind + water moisture!
