Buying a 1998 Whaler Outrage with twin 200hp Saltwater series II engines. Less than 300 hrs on them.
compression test results as follows: stbd: 125,125,125,125,120,115 port: 125,125,125,130,115,120
Are these ok? I understand they are fairly consistent, but don't know how far off from factory spec for compression should be? wonder where those 115's come from?
am I good with this?

You should be OK as long as it's above 100lbs and no more than 10% variation. However, it's not great because I would expect that 200 boy to have little more.

In my 18 years messing with these, I don't remember outboard motors' compression got pass 150lbs per cylinder.
So, on used ones, we are looking for 100lbs or more and evenly. Call Yamaha for such info.
Good luck.
