I have a Yamaha F4A Outboard which starts fine but will not idle - it just keeps cutting out.

I have a Yamaha F4A Outboard which starts fine but will not idle - it just keeps cutting out. If I keep the revs high I can get from A-B but as I slow down the engine cuts out. The manual is of no help. Can anyone help?
