hard time to find shortshaft 35hp

I had one last year, I am in minnesota,A fellow from Montanna drove here and bought it saying he cant find one,After that I have been keeping my eyes open for any,There just not out there.Even 25s I get are always long shaft. I think its the newer boats dont make the short transom much if at all anymore
