I am restoring a 77 85 HP evinrude. I am trying to put the remote throttle back togther. Is there a special tool to hold the ball bearing (#30-Part # 039210 and spring (#84 part # 0318625) while the two upper halfs a put together?

Never had a problem installing that part !!------------------Review the order in which you install the pieces.--------------No tools required.-------------------How are you trying to install this ???????
 
Gentlemen. Thank you very much for responding. Me being completely new at Maring eingines, I appreciate you help. I do have experience mechanically, haveing restored two classic cars. I still see no method of compressing the detent ball and spring to allow the shift throttle plate to slide over the shaft without a tool of some kind.
