I have twin Yamaha 80s on my rib. A wharf dropped it onto concrete while they were attempting to put it in the water. As a result there was some damage to the hull and the steel shaft on the tilt ram has sheared off. Thery are trying to say that it was done before the accident and that it was caused by a seized pivot bush. He says that this happens quite a lot. So my question is, has anyone else ever had this problem before? They are also trying to say that corrosion was the problem. I have attached some images that show the fracture point and the small amount of corrosion.
