HELP! How do I get the power tilt motor out of a 40hp???

I just got a pontoon boat with a 40 hp mercury. The tilt would not lift. I lifted the motor to find a crack in the top of the tilt motor. Now I cant figure out how to get the pins out of the motor to get the tilt assembly out. Help!!!! Thanks.
