Yamaha F150 Four Stroke Momentary Cylinder Cutout Switch

I have a Yamaha F150 four stroke outboard Manufactured 8-2005. When I pull back on the throttle, while underway, and get down to the lowest rpm while still in gear, 750. The momentary cylinder cutout switch engages and shuts down one of the cylinders as I continue to idle along. My understanding is that this switch is suppose to shut down a cylinder as you shift in and out of Neutral to relieve pressure/torque on the lower unit gears.

I am looking for a step by step procedure to correctly adjust the remote control cables to allow this switch to activate at the proper throttle and gear shifting position. Can anyone help?
