Hi Everyone

I just tried to start my mid 70s 50Hp mercury thunderboIt sin 7088966 its been sitting since last fall.. now it wont start it has no spark at all to all the cylinders It was running great last year when I put it away.... any ideas why it would lose spark from sitting for a year.

Thanks Ed

had that happen on a mariner 50 hp 2 stroke. bought a clymer repair manual, tested the coil packs ( hope that's what there called) the board they were connected to went bad so the board and coil packs were replaced as a unit. not a boat mechanic so hopefully a real one will make sure I used the right part terminology.

I would do what Jeff said first, kill switch will do that and lot less expensive fix.
