I have a spare 1986 Force 125 (1254x6a) (1775), and I want to know how hard it would be (or is it even possible) to put that whole ignition setup on my 1978 Chrysler 105 (1057H8H) (2555)? The engine blocks look exactly the same, the lower units look the same, heck the fiberglass lids even transfer engine to engine. What all would I need to switch over?

Believe your 105 had a belt drive with the black amp box on 3 rubber lord mounts. The 85 should have the big side plate with 4 coils and triggers under the fly wheel. When you get the flywheel off - the machining on the crank case will be different and the triggers wont work. If the block was newer, and the triggers fit, go for it.
