Ns40c conversion to tiller handle

I have a remote steer motor but I want to convert it to a tiller steer. Does the tiller handle have cables or will I need to try figure out what linkage to buy? Any suggestions where to get handle? (I would gladly swap all remote controls for tiller handle set-up.) Thanks
 
The tiller throttle for the 40C is gear/linkage drive. Some parts are still available, but not inexpensive. Your best bet would be to find a used parts-donor motor.
