Fuel tank connector o-ring

Hi all
I have an old steel 12.5L steel fuel tank that was supplied new with a Tohatsu 8hp in the early 90's. The connector on the top of the tank is leaking, th culprate is the o-ring, but it disintergrated upon removal so I am hoping that someone here can give me the size so I can go to a local seal&bearing shop and get a new one. Seems a waste to chuck what is otherwise a good functioning part.

Order the Male fuel connector - Tank side, 1/4" NPT. This is the connector that is installed on the fuel tank. Fits all models. Part # 9999800MA2. $6.52, from any dealer, including me.
