Crate engine compression problem

Installed a new V6 Vortec last summer (2010). Knew that it wasn't producing as much as much power as the original V6.. it is about 4 mph slower at WOT. Discoverd this summer that the driver's side (port side??) cylinder side all has 50-55 lbs of compression while the other 3 cylinders on the other side all have 100lbs + of compression.

Help! Should I pull the head off and check? Seems very strange that all 3 driver's side cylinders would have stuck valves?????
