Default Throttle Shifter not clicking to neutral - Monterey 194FS

While driving my boat the Throttle shifter popped off. When we put it back in place the neutral position is no longer in the middle. It also does not click into neutral as easily as it did before. I am looking for advice on how to re-set this.
