I have a low hour 1990 8 hp Nissan that was used on my sailboat's Zodiac. I am thinking about purchasing a Gheenoe 13' (about 100 lbs) for river travel and camping. I would be carrying a total of my weight (175) and about 40 lbs of camping equipment. This would not include gasoline and that is my question. How many gph would I use at 10 mph. Thanks or your help!!
 
There are a lot of variables that go into the fuel economy question, and no one can say definitively what your particular consumption would be. Of course, you will have a WOT rate of about 1 gph maximum. The best thing to do in order to get precise figures is to run at your expected conditions for an hour and measure the fuel used.
