91 supra pcm 351 cuts out at 2600rpm sometimes

boat sat up for 2 yrs holly 650 rebuilt and runs great then cuts out backfires runs rough. back rpm back to 2500 runs great after idling or running at 2500 for a few minutes runs great and stays nice the the process starts all over after 2 or 3 minutes. I have heard the ignition on this series had some demons all wiring seems in good shape and coil pack seems fairly decent. any help would be appreciated. got to get back on the lake!!!
 
Check your fuel filter and also there is a little screen on your fuel line going into your carb that could be clogged. Same thing was happening to my buddy's boat.
