I am restoring a 1985 Century with a Chrysler 318 inboard. Where is the connection to attach a garden hose to the engine to enable me to run it in dry dock?

There may not be one. If you have a strainer with a removable top, stuff the hose in there. If not, remove the hose to the raw water pump and stuff the hose up it.

What I have done with one boat I have with a 318 engine is to buy a cheap (plastic) faucet and a female/female garden hose adapter and after disconnecting my inline hose from the hull fitting, screwed the faucet into the hose and tightened the clamp. When I don't need this I take the fitting off and reconnect the hose to the hull fitting. The faucet is kept for next time. Doesn't cost much and it's a lot neater than having water all over. Another benefit is that you get to check the condition of your hoses. Gus
