Loose shift lever on 2009 15 HP Nissan

Does anybody have any ideas on how to prevent the shift lever on my manual shift 15 HP Nissan from vibrating so badly that it can be heard over the noise of the engine?

Tighten the bolt? I've never heard of one being loose before. The handle has a a little collar in it that the bolt fits thru. If that was missing it would probably bounce around.
 
Assuming you have a 15C... If the motor is vibrating that badly, is it misfiring? The shifter handle on those is normally quite snug. As Elvin mentioned, if the collar (bushing) is missing, or the bolt is ready to fall out, that could make the shifter flop around easily enough.
