Trying to get my Gen operating again. Would not start without manually playing with the throttle. Replaced the points and set the Timing. Then cleaned the Carb and fuel pump (Bendix). Set low and high speed jets to factory settings (1 to 1 1/2 of the seat). Cleaned the Vacuum Boost. Then started to adjust the throttle linkage....Big mistake....I think!!!! Anyway it starts now but dies after 10 seconds slowly (no load)....Any ideas. How long should the linkage be set. And should there be tention on the governor arm with the Generator off??? I do have a manual but the info and illustrations do not make sense.
