Can anyone help an all-thumbs Yamaha 2 stroke 15hp owner (me)...need to clear sea water from my fuel line as we had water in our gas tank. i am ready with new gas in a new gas tank, but what should i do to clear the engine of water?

appreciate your help!!

You need to get on this! Mix your gas 25:1, dump the filter and prime fuel until line is clear of water, open bowl drain on carb and prime fuel until no more water comes out of drain, pull spark plugs, remove safety lanyard so no spark, choke, pull over until you get fuel vapor coming out plug holes, clean water off plugs or install new ones, reconnect plug wires and lanyard, choke off, third throttle, pull over to start. If no start try choking. You may have to clean plugs again. Run it for at least a half hour. Best if you can run at least half throttle. You should get the carb cleaned or it will probably give you problems later.
