    If it is two stroke mix 50;1 ratio,and what do mean how to start it?It should either have pull rope, key,or a button!!If it has pull rope,there should be a choke on engine you either push and pull,kind of like starting a lawn mower.All the engines i have messed with anyways.Buy a manual for it,you will be miles ahead by doing so.

    We need to know what year of motor it is. Give Us the model number and serial number
    and We can figure it out.
    50to1 might be to light on oil if it's an older motor. If in doubt start at 16to1 untill You know
    for sure.
    A good place to ask is the Antique Outboard Collectors Club website;

    Check out the "Ask A Member" forum.
    Good Luck with Your motor.
