Evinrude 225 Ficht Ram 2003 and Evinrude 225 1993

Hi everyone again!! I am upgrading to a bigger whaler and I have these engines... One is a 2003 Evinrude 225Hp Ficht Ram in a 20 Outrage and the other is a Evinrude 225 1993 in a 18 Outrage... Are these engines reliable?? Problems with these engines? If the 1993 225hp is already repaired, is is worth the shot?? I am doing A LOT of research on the Ficht engines and it seems like they are better and upgraded from 2002 and later....but I want to know the opinion from this forum, I know gurus here on marineengine.com will help me
 
IMHO. I'd take the 1993 model. Less things to go wrong with it and you don't need a laptop to work on it. Also parts are a lot cheaper. Compare the price of a power pack on the '93 to an emm on the Ficht.
