Hi. I just picked up this 50 hp Merc. I know its a 1965 (serial no 1867937), but is there a way to tell what model it is? Its a long shaft, electric start, but I don't know if it has a charging system. The previous owner just said the alternater doesn't work, but I see some of these motors didn't have charging systems. Any easy way to tell?
