What Year is my 30HP Mariner?

I have a 30HP Mariner with serial number: 30E 689S 106748 Does anyone have any insight as to the breakdown of these numbers?

Also, what kind of prop and pitch size should go with this engine. Thanks a bunch!

Your engine serial number 689S-106748 is a 1985 MARINER SANSHIN 30 E Model number 7030505. Short shaft.
Also found in link below as, 30A E Serial number range 689-106355 - 689-107568 = 1985.
