2002 merc 40 4 stroke efi fuel problem

pump the bubble then start, runs good then starts cutting out like it is running out of fuel. i pump the bubble before it cuts off till it is hard and it goes until it does it again in 5 or 10 minutes and keeps doing it. i changed the bulb and line, when i pump the bulb tight before cranking there is no fuel in filter crank it up and it gets full, run it on the water hose and the fuel filter slowly runs out of fuel then i pump the bubble and it fills up again. any help please
 
Run on another fuel tank, see what happens.Sounds like fuel pump. Take line off out put of fuel pump. Take and put a line on output of pump then into bottle, and start engine and see if gas fills bottle ( if not bad fuel pump)
Note: make sue vent is open
