Steering Knuckle

I have a aq290dp. I just got my new roller bushing and seals for the steering tube and something doesn't seen right. The bearing and seals are extreamly loose on the steering tube. I looked up the part # for bearing and seals and they use the same part number for several years and models and they match what I have here. Does any one have any measurments as to what the outside diameter of the bearing surface on the tube should be? You can see the tube is pretty pitted but why would it be so loose when I slide the seal and bearing onto the tube? You think I need a new tube?
