8.1 Issue

I have a 2003 Tiara with 8.1's. both engines run fine but when I get them up to plaining speed, about 3,000 rpm the port engine loses power and will not rev over 2,000 rpm or so. Temp and oil pressure are fine and there is no odd noises.
Could this be a fuel delivery problem? The boat was in salt water until 200 hrs but stored on a lift. Now in fresh water, boat now has almost 400 hours and no problems until now.
Please help?
 
Sounds like fuel. DON'T keep pushing it until you resolve this or holes will appear in the pistons.

I'd start with the usual suspects: filters. separators (water), and a stuck anti-siphon valve at the tanks.

One additional thought, you could be going into a "power reduction" mode with your ECM... meaning you are tripping a code somewhere triggering the event. If checking "all the usual suspects" doesnt help I would suggests putting in on a computer to see if you have any codes. Had a similar issue with an overheating transmission.
