One of the plastic covers that screws on top of the carb has worn a hole in it large enough so that I couldn't just use the nut to hold it in place. I put a couple of washers on it to cover the hole and put it back on. A guy with twin 454's a couple of slips down from me had the same problem. He just took off the two plastic covers. Is that OK, or should they remain in place? Also, did anyone find the 1/2" box wrench I dropped in the bilge last Saturday?
