Im looking to find out what year my 40 hp Evinrude motor is. The tag got water behind it so the only part of the model number I have is TE40----CEC and the serial number is Q----5583. On top of the motor there is the nickel sized tag with G2315883. Im pretty sure its an Evinrude but everywhere I look on the motor it has a M in a square. Please help...... I have tried to look for freeze plugs but to be honest I have no clue where to find them...
