hi not sure if im in the right area but,
i have a problem with the hydraulics in the motor i think . i can raise the motor, and it goes up fine
but it wont lower unless i push it down, does anyonw know what the problem could be ?

Assuming that it is an outboard engine, Raise the engine all the way up. Look on the trim pump reservoir for the fill plug. Remove the fill plug, air may purge itself, and fill the reservoir with trim fluid. Actuate the trim switch and put the engine all the way down. Do this a few times, up and down and then check the fluid level again.

This is the Marine Power forum.
I think that we need a bit more info.... at least I do!

Although the Marine Power was found in a few Volvo Penta installs back in the late 70s, I have to ask.........., are we talking I/O's here... or are we talking I/B's?
Are we raising and lowering an engine (as in OMC Stringer Drive), or are we raising and lowering an out drive?

Perhaps I need more coffee! :D

.
