Picked up a 20hp Chrysler from a friend last week. Apparently, he said it was running before it was stored (outside) for two years. I could not turn the flywheel but after pouring some mystery oil in both cylinders I was able to break everything free. Anyway, inside the engine cover base the metal plate states model 2001 SN#2456. Does anyone know what year this motor was made???
I would like to try and get this running again but I don't want to waste my time if I cannot find parts. I have searching the internet for days, gone to NAPA and cannot seem to find any Chrysler 20 hp outboard with a model number of 2001. Hope someone out ther can help. Hate to trash this enngine. Thanks
