Depends on whether you want to decarbonize the engine, or use on a regular basis to keep engine and fuel system clean. Instructions on the can cover both items, if I recall correctly. If decarbonizing, you basically need to hook up an auxillary tank, mix the Seafoam with fuel IAW the instructions, and run it through the engine. If using on a regular basis to keep engine clean, then just dump the right amount into your main fuel tank.
