Serial Numbers??

I found the serial number on my motor but when i go to search them it comes back with nothing found?? id like to know the year of the motor if anyone could help the number is A120827

That serial number is going to be a 1985 MERCURY 35 EL Model Number 1035525 (2 CYL)
