trim line blew out. replaced w/ hard hydraulic line. trying to bleed the lines. pump works fine but i keep getting milky oil coming out when engaging the pump. I'm following the procedure outlined in the manual.all the line connections are secure. system worked fine prior to the blowout. Could condensation in the lines cause this? have run 3 quarts of oil through the lines trying to get them right. line runs w/ steady stream when first engaged then sputters and emits milky oil. any bleeding tips or comments would be much appreciated. thanks.

is this a alpha one stern drive,?or bravo one.either way, take the rams off and let them hang down, and then work the pump, continually topping up the oil level..it should slowly bleed out the air,and will get to a stage where you dont need to add any more oil.the manual explains all that.if it still wont work, take the pump unit off, and[leave the lines connected if you can]and take off the reservoir tank, and check for muck, sludge getting into the intake holes.clean up,and reinstall, with fresh oil,and try again[by not disconnecting the hydraulic lines, you save rebleeding them].Any closed circuit hydraulic system[two way rams] takes a bit of work to purge the air,so disconnecting the lines only if you realy have to
