Faria tach setting

Can anyone tell me what the setting on the back of the tach should be. I have a Faria 6000 rpm tach with numbers 1-6 on the back hooked to an 07 90 hp 3 cyl merc. Any help would be great. Thanks Tim
 
Not sure about those numbers, but the usual procedure is to determine the number of poles on your alternator and set it for that. I beleive that motor is a 6 pole.
