thanks for the tip re airscrew settings
I have a new fuel pump fitted which is pumping fuel from both outlets
carb bowls are filling with fuel
carbs have been stripped and carefully rebuilt - fuel levels are correct, all jets clean and blown thru
electric choke operation ok
engine starts first turn of key with a little throttle on fast idle lever - BUT
even when warmed up I'm getting an occasional chuff thru air box - enough to stop the engine on tickover
gently squeezing fuel bulb makes no difference
engaging gears stalls engine - using choke will allow me to select gears without stalling
I have tried unscrewing air screws to richen mixture but this makes no difference
I tried a colortune but could not make out any colour - even in the dark!
I'm about to give up and get rid of it - but before I do - any last ditch ideas?
(I paid £800 for it with brand new cables and I would sell for the same)
